Some ideas get stuck in my head for weeks. An ant that only knows two moves makes a mess for 9,977 steps, then out of nowhere builds a perfect road and walks off forever. Nobody can fully explain why it does that. That still blows my mind, and Loop Theorem is basically me chasing that feeling.
Every video starts as code. I write the sim, let it run, and count what happens. So when a video says 27 climbs all the way to 9,232 before it crashes, that's because the sim actually got there. And if I get something wrong, the comments let me know pretty fast, which I love.
A lot of what I make comes from you. Someone asked for three ants on one floor, so I made it. Then someone asked for a hundred. This site is the next step: the same sims, running in your browser, so you can poke at them yourself instead of only watching me do it.
Everything here is free, and each demo is a single file you can download, open in a text editor and break on purpose. If you find a rule or a number that does something weird, send me the link. Some of my favourite videos started exactly like that. 🐜
